Moral Values and Impact to me as a 21st Century learner of a short story "Sinigang " by Marian Aubrey J. Villaceran
Sinigang – is a Filipino soup or stew characterized by its sour and savoury taste. It is most often associated with tamarind (Filipino: sampalok), although it can use other sour fruits and leaves as the souring agent. It is one of the more popular dishes in Filipino cuisine.
The short story Sinigang is written in 2001 by Marby Villaceran narrates how Liza, the main character, deals with the issue of her father who had an extramarital affair with Sylvia, Lem.
MORAL VALUE
The story "Sinigang" thought me that be humble in life, learn to forgive and not to harbor resentment toward others, especially your loved ones. Whatever he did wrong, maybe he had a good reason.
Learn how to forgive even you still don't forget about it but it's part of the process of accepting someone's mistake. Forgiving them makes your feelings light and at ease. People commit mistakes and so you are so learn how to understand the situation no matter how hard it is and learn how to forgive. Even God forgive us on our sin so who we are to not forgive other. Forgiving means setting your self free from that situation and choosing yourself to be happy.
IMPACT TO ME AS A 21ST LEARNER
As a 21st learner, the impact of the story to me is that everything happens for a reason, no ones perfect and everyone makes a mistake to yourself or myself. So I should learn how to forgive because God always forgive us for all our mistakes.
